Importance of Honey

Honey is very rich. A kilogram of it (4 cups) is equal to 5 kilograms of milk. And it is equivalent to eating 30 pieces of bananas or 20 egg or 11.75 kg of meat, or 12 kg of green leaves. It is therefore advisable to form the habit of using honey.

Many healing properties are attributed to the use of honey. It is without doubt a very potent and natural body fuel. It contains 22 nutrients that are required by man for complete and perfect health. Honey helps fatigue and increase energy level. It is best replacement for the bleached and non-nutritious white sugar. For baking sweetened drinks, cereals, salad dressings or on toast and muffins. Wonderful for children.

The bees take the fertilizer pollen dust from the flowers of the high desert process it with natural enzymes and carry it to the hive for food.

Honey is a solid liquid that tastes naturally sweet and is produced by a small insect called Bee. It has nutritional advantage over processed sugar. Honey is an excellent source of potassium and that's why bacteria cannot survive in honey. And potassium withdraws from the bacteria the moisture which is essential to their existence thereby killing them.

Honey has lot of natural component that make it unique from any other sugary substance. The following are the natural elements in honey.

Minerals: copper, manganese, zinc, chromatin, nickel, iodine, phosphorus, sliver, sulphur, magnesium, iron, calcium, potassium and sodium.

Carbohydrate: fructose, amitace, potase, glucose, maltose.

Acid: lactic acids, folic acid, citric acid, nicotine acid.

Vitamins: vitamin A, B2, B3, B5, B12, D3, E, K, and it also contains protein fat and oil.
