Medicinal Use of Honey

1. Boils: Get wax and add pure honey, mix them together and apply the wax inside the earlobe (earwax) directly on the boil. Remove and apply up to 4 times a day, the boil will disappear.

2. Burns(Fresh): Burns are hurt injuries or effects caused by fire or heat. Direct application of pure honey is very effective in the treatment of either first or second degree burns. The burns could be due to hot water, hot oil, hot vapour, steam or fire. Smear the affected part generously with pure natural honey. If one is very fast with the application there should be no flesh shrinkage. Honey is highly rich in Vitamin C. Most hospitals and first aiders apply honey to treat burns and it has been found very effective.

3. Catarrh: Mix pure honey and lime juice in the ratio of five to one (5:1). That is, five parts of honey to one part of lime juice. Dosage: Take 2 tablespoonful of the mixture orally 3 times a day, for one week. N.B: You may likely feel weak or sleepy. The best thing to do is to rest.

4. Chicken Pox/Measles: Smear pure natural undiluted honey on the whole body as if you are applying body cream or lotion. Be generous in the application, and apply twice daily. The rashes will dry up and there will be no more symptoms. Prepare honey drink with good water for drinking. Do this for 3 to 4 days. 2 tablespoonful of pure honey taken orally is encouraged twice daily even after full recovery.

5. Cholera: (a) Prepare and drink a half cupful of the mixture of aloe vera, lemon juice and pure honey 3 times daily. (b) Prepare sugar and salt solution and drink generously in place of water. Preparation: 1 level of teaspoonful of salt, 5 cubes of sugar or 10 teaspoonful of granulated sugar, 1 beer bottle or two coca-cola bottle of clean water, dissolve sugar and salt in cool water or certified pure water.

6. Coarse Skin: Beat egg yoke thoroughly, mix with pure honey and smear generously on the skin. Use as body lotion.
